Electric Project
The EV community has been around a long time but is now growing rapidly. It is predominantly 'eco-modders'; people that modify their cars for something rather foreign to me: fuel economy. The performance EV community is taking over, and both private enterprise and commercial workshops are focusing on speed rather than savings. There is even a Formula version of wings and slicks international racing called Formula E. One such team of pioneers is Phil Pratt. Phil bought this.1999 Stuart Hooper built Group 2C Superspors car over five years ago which was originally powered by a Toyota 4AGE four cylinder engine and five speed gear box. He used it for a variety of events including sprints and Hillclimb. The car has previously been a solid performer in the hands of John Campbell and Terry Smith, and has been a well known vehicle in sports car circles.
Phil bought the car from the estate of Terry Smith who campaigned the car in the Supersports series before unfortunately passing away. In Terry's hands the car was lapping Barbagallo in 63 seconds.
